The library media program will provide physical and intellectual access to information and resources. The staff respects the diverse learning needs and the diverse cultures of the students and is committed to the rights of intellectual freedom.
The programs of the media center adhere to legal guidelines and the staff models professional ethics and appropriate use of information. The staff is available for consultation on copyright issues.
The library media staff collaborates with teachers to ensure that information literacy skills are integrated into the curriculum. The library media specialist is a partner with classroom teachers to teach these skills.
Most importantly, the library media program promotes reading both for learning and pleasure. Time spent reading directly correlates to success in school. Our goal of developing lifelong learners can only be met if students develop a love of reading at an early age.
